  Wow! Your experience is almost identical to my Dad's recently - and that terrible Dr Potter who replaces him is even worse. She has caused my Dad horrible pain and suffering by ignoring his symptoms, failing to listen or follow-up. I don't know which of them is worse. Dr Cowan is off at Royal Jubilee playing wanna be surgeon, he should just close up practice if he can't service his patients.

  My father has been a patient of Dr. Cowan's for some time. My father always told me that "his" Dr. was never avaliable at the office when he tried to make appointments to see him. Until recently I never believed my father I just assumed that he was getting older and more demanding uppon our medical system and just exagerating when he got frustrated. But I must say that I can't believe the poor service and the lack of caring for man kind from Dr. Cowans office and reception staff. My father has now had pnuemonia, open heart surgery, bowel surgery, a heart in afib, and another bout of pnuemonia with in the last 6 months, and I must tell you that in all the attempts to make appointments at Dr. Cowan's office, my father has yet to see the man! We keep getting bumped off to locums in the office, and Dr. Cowan is their and we have seen him, he totally ignores my father doesn't even poke his head out to say "he's sorry that he couldn't see him today and hopefully Dr.___ is taking good care of you today". I was so appalled at our last trip to the office, that I am currently looking for a new Dr. for my father. I'm sorry I didn't believe you in the first place dad, you should never have to put up with that kind of treatment, or lack thereof!
